Major release : V1.5 coming out this week

Dear plugin users,

After a number of updates in many aspects, I’m really glad to let you know the next release of the plugin is scheduled for this week.

In version 1.5, you’ll find some improvements in the look & feel but also a whole lot of changes under the hood. Have a look at this post to find out the changelog and what that really means for you and your users.

  • If you want a preview, the new plugin already runs on this site. Just click here to see an example.
  • If you want to give the new version a test drive (on your test server), get it now from here, but make sure you get the final version from WP directly.

Not all of the requests have been implemented in this version, but it’s on my list for the next few months.

As usual, keep the feedback coming !

  1. Hi,

    I’ve updated to the latest version and the plugin has overiden certain styles from tabs already present in my website.

    How do you think I could solve the issue?

    • Hey MD,
      I’ll look into it in the next few days. I suspect this has to do with the jQuery styling and registering/de-registering its styling. Thanks for the feedback.

        • Hey

          I couldn’t reply to your “report a bug” email. I got a security warning from your email provider (?!). Anyway, I’ve made a new release (again) tonight. It allows you to NOT load the CSS calendar theme packed with the plugin. That way, the plugin should perfectly integrate into your site !
          Let me know how it goes when you have the time.

  2. Hi Greg,

    first of all, thanks a lot for your great work.

    Some remarks from my side:
    1.) The textcolor of the searchbox does not work in a page/post, I’ve to set it manually. In the sidebar it works fine.
    2.) Some problems with IE (FF is ok), the hidden parts of the searchbox were not hidden, I’ve resolved it this way: in shortcodes.php.
    Another problem with IE was, that the checkin- and checkout-day were not correctly set in the onClose option. Therefore I’ve changed the onClose-option to this:
    onClose: function (dateText, picker) {
    var day = picker.selectedDay;
    jQuery(“#checkout_monthday input”).val(day);
    // getDate returns a js Date object
    // var dateObject = jQuery(this).datepicker(“getDate”);
    // console.dir(dateObject);
    // jQuery( “.full_checkin_date” ).datepicker( “option”, “maxDate”, dateObject );
    // Call Date object methods
    // jQuery(“#checkout_monthday input”).val(dateObject.getDate());

    Nevertheless, the plugin is very helpful for me and with FF it works fine from the beginning!

      • Hi Greg,

        I’m sorry, but I’ve to say, that the problems are still exist (I test it with IE9).
        But it’s not a big problem for me, because I found a solution, that works for me (as described above).

  3. Hello, i updated to the last version and now dates on search box do not work at all, if you visit you will see that date text boxes are blue with no calendar showing when clicked (this incompatibility with some css or jquery coding makes the plugin useless for the moment on my website.)

    thanks in advance
